Cloud Engineering Role Overview

Your Position:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Applications Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for distributed applications on hybrid cloud platforms.

  • The ideal candidate will champion continuous operational improvements informed by metrics analysis and customer feedback.

  • This role involves leading incident management, troubleshooting, response coordination, and conducting comprehensive post-incident reviews.

  • Candidates must be able to clearly communicate complex technical issues to development teams, document root causes, and collaborate internally to create robust solutions.

  • Responsibilities include managing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise applications and cloud-based systems using secure, scalable, and reliable frameworks.

  • This position also requires proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the health, performance, and reliability of applications and platforms.

  • Detailed log analysis and stack trace utilization are essential skills for debugging and resolving issues reported by partners and end-users.

  • A key aspect of this role is developing comprehensive documentation covering operational procedures, system configurations, and environment setups.

  • The successful candidate will continuously identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks and operational overhead.

  • Junior engineers will be trained in different subjects of expertise.

  • Participation in a 24x7 shifting rotation is also required.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.

Minimum 5 years of experience supporting critical, high-availability production systems with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and operational excellence is necessary.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Required Technical Skills: Linux Administration and Troubleshooting, Distributed Applications, Logging & Monitoring, Incident Management, Version Control.
