US Tax Professional

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and analytical professional to lead our tax compliance function.
- Manage staff and review tax returns prepared by the team.
- Prepare and review complex individual and business returns.
- Assist staff with diagnosing issues in preparation in the software.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight to junior team members.
- Directly communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates.
- Able to respond to notices received from tax authorities.
This is an opportunity to work autonomously while managing a team to ensure accountability and knowledge up-skilling.
About you- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Deep knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Experience with forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041, and not for profit return preparation and review
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Experience preparing returns in ProSeries is preferable
- Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
