Bridge Design Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our bridge design team. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience with a strong focus on complex and unique bridge designs.

About the Role:

  • Develop civil engineer/conceptual designs for bridges, ensuring aesthetic and functional integrity.
  • Work closely with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to align designs with technical and site-specific requirements.
  • Produce design development (DD) documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Provide design insights and solutions for various bridge types, including cable-stayed, suspension, arches, trusses, and curved bridges.
  • Collaborate with external firms during the transition from design development to construction documentation phases.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and stay updated on relevant trends, innovations, and materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer experience, with a primary focus on complex/unique bridge designs.
  • Proven track record of working on cable-stayed, suspension, arched, truss, and curved bridge projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sofistik.
  • Strong understanding of design development (DD) processes and technical detailing for bridges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, clients, and external partners.
  • A portfolio showcasing conceptual and design development work on bridge projects is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment and collaborate with remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of CAD software and modeling techniques.
  • Experience with project management tools and collaboration platforms.
