Chief Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a Chief Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at CCPC. As a key member of our quality department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in all aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update department procedures to ensure that process changes are accurately documented and implemented.
- Manage test schedules to ensure that all operational tests are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Communicate findings and remediation plans to internal and external parties, including senior management, business process owners, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, clients, regulatory bodies, and external auditors.
- Recommend and implement changes to existing operational tests to increase efficiency, minimize operating expenses, and improve accuracy and timeliness.
- Review production schedules and related information, and confer with managers to plan and determine the quality control support required.
- Conduct or direct training, and coordinate with unit managers and personnel to ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
- Ensure sufficient manpower is available for planned work and shift coverage.
- Conduct investigations into customer complaints relating to contractual deficiencies within the Quality Department.
- Assess inspection requirements and assign inspection projects and tasks to inspection personnel.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related science or technical discipline, with 3+ years of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
- BS/MS in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology, or equivalent, with at least 3 years of industry experience or similar in a GMP environment.
- Knowledgeable in HACCP, GMPs, MSDS now SDS CFR, and other state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address quality-related challenges.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support quality initiatives.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining product quality and compliance.
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
