Job Overview

The Data Engineer will provide support for application data needs and ensure robust and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, external providers, and streaming platforms.
  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines that enable reliable data movement and transformation.
  • Manage data storage and choose appropriate database systems while optimizing data schemas and ensuring data quality, integrity, scalability, and performance for large-scale datasets.
  • Work towards defined objectives, collaborating with supervisors and stakeholders to deliver stable, working solutions.
  • Become familiar with customer relationships through consistent solution delivery and follow-up.
  • Apply strong organizational, communication, and time management skills to complete tasks with minimal errors and within deadlines.
  • Participate as a team member by practicing effective listening, collaboration, and shared problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience applying modern information technology to business operations.
  • Solid experience managing SQL databases, including setting permissions, managing user access, and administering security controls.
  • Strong expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data transformation and migration.
  • Hands-on experience with PL/SQL and custom applications on Oracle databases.
  • Familiarity with distributed database architectures and implementing database links effectively.
  • Mastery of Microsoft reporting tools and Excel Macros for automation.
  • Intermediate-level Python skills that support data handling and automation tasks.
  • Fluency in SQL and capable of writing queries using LINQ or similar query languages.
  • Proficiency in understanding and optimizing query performance and indexing strategies.
  • Experience working with AWS considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with data science algorithms and basic artificial intelligence concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
