Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our digital building integration efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, building systems, or related technical fields.

The successful individual will be responsible for ensuring clients receive high-quality fault detection and diagnostics products. This includes collaborating on onboarding projects, communicating timelines and milestones, and conducting onboarding activities such as data collection and discovery.

Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting diagnostics to perform automated fault detection on customer's HVAC equipment, reviewing findings and validating results reported by software, training customers and partners on data transfer service, data connectivity, and related networking issues, and providing ongoing support of connected sites.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related technical degree) and an interest in building systems or significant field experience in controls or services company serving the buildings industry. A certificate or equivalent experience in basic networking or computer fundamentals is also required.

  • Collaboratively complete onboarding projects and communicate timelines and milestones.
  • Conduct onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, discovery of data, and organizing for Digital Building Engineers.
  • Helping to troubleshoot Diagnostics to perform automated fault detection on customer's HVAC equipment.
  • Take requests to review the findings and validate the results reported by the software.
  • Train and engage customer and partner users specific to the Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues.
  • Provide ongoing support of connected sites.
Requirements
  • Confident, self-motivated, and comfortable quickly grasping new technologies.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and partners.
  • Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree or 5–6 years related industry experience.
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.
  • Exposure to BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus.
  • Exposure to BAS networking principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ideally, exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement and verification.
  • Ideally, exposure to metadata applications such as use of tags and standards, e.g., Project Haystack.

This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a close-knit environment where communication is key. The ideal candidate will be motivated about changing the built environment with new tools, technologies, and business models.
