Job Title: Digital Building Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Building Integration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting clients and partners with the highest quality fault detection and diagnostics product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring seamless delivery and support to clients and partners
  • Collaborating on onboarding projects and communicating timelines and milestones
  • Conducting onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, discovery of data, and organizing for Digital Building Engineers
  • Troubleshooting diagnostics to perform automated fault detection on customer's HVAC equipment
  • Reviewing and validating findings reported by software
  • Providing training and support to customers and partners specific to Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues
  • Ongoing support of connected sites
Requirements:
  • Confident, self-motivated, and comfortable quickly grasping new technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate with customers and partners
  • Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree or 5–6 years related industry experience
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics
  • Exposure to BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus
  • Exposure to BAS networking principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ideally, exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement and verification
  • Ideally, exposure to metadata applications such as use of tags and standards, e.g., Project Haystack
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering (or a related technical degree) with interest in building systems or significant field experience in a controls or services company serving the buildings industry
  • Certificate or equivalent experience in basic networking or computer fundamentals
  • Learns technical and engineering solutions quickly and thoroughly
  • Effective communicator of technical information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Thorough and analytical with good attention to detail
  • Ability to creatively streamline processes and find efficiencies
  • Effective conception and communication of product development ideas
  • Comfortable working in an environment where work processes are still being established and constantly refined
  • Motivated about changing the built environment
  • Passionate about working in a close-knit environment where communication is key
