About the Role:
We are hiring for an Australian music business seeking a skilled Bookkeeper / Accountant. This role combines general accounting duties with a focus on managing accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general bookkeeping, including data entry and bank reconciliation.
- Assist with financial reporting and basic analysis.
- Handle accounts payables and support tax compliance documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.
- Collaborate with internal accounting and finance teams.
Core Expertise:
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable process (invoicing to reconciliation).
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain AR ledgers.
- Follow up with clients professionally on overdue invoices.
- Handle client queries regarding payments and terms.
- Implement effective collection strategies in line with compliance standards.
- Generate AR reports and suggest improvements to AR workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams.
- Proficiency in Xero.
- Five years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Strong background in accounts receivable processes.
