Job Overview

Kobalt.io seeks passionate security professionals to join our delivery team as Compliance Cybersecurity Analysts. This role involves tailoring cybersecurity protocols to support client security journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist vCISOs in executing elements and projects within a security program, ensuring seamless integration with client operations.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their business needs and tailor security policies and procedures to meet those requirements.
  • Serve as subject matter expert of Kobalt's security education platform, providing technical guidance and training.
  • Design and deploy phishing tests to clients regularly, evaluating their vulnerability to cyber threats.
  • Provide compliance audit readiness support as required, ensuring that clients are prepared for any audits or assessments.
  • Provision, implement, and manage Vanta or similar GRC platforms for clients, streamlining their compliance processes.
  • Build new tools and techniques to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up time for strategic initiatives.
  • Document best practice procedures for commonly used technologies, standardizing deployment and reducing risk.
  • Identify system misconfigurations and develop recommendations for clients, helping them optimize their security posture.
  • Capture regular metrics highlighting key activities, measurable accomplishments, and blockers, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Support the design and development of Kobalt's service offerings through insightful feedback and collaboration with the security delivery team.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional support, building strong relationships with clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Security Technologies, Information Security, Business Resilience, Technology Risk, or related fields.
  • External-facing client experience, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity domains, including Security Operations (on-premise and cloud), Security Engineering, Information Risk Management, etc.
  • Report Writing: Emphasis on clarity, concision, and ability to write a summary that answers the Who, What, Where, When, How, and Why.
  • Strong analytical skills: Be able to analyze complex security data and connect the dots to identify patterns and trends.
