Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax preparation, including individual and business tax returns.

The Tax Preparer will be responsible for supporting the tax team by handling data input and assisting with the preparation of tax returns.

This role focuses on accurate entry of tax information, including Schedule C and Schedule E, while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and review client-provided tax documents for completeness and accuracy prior to preparation.
  • Enter and review tax data into preparation software with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and support the filing of federal and state tax returns, including Schedule C and Schedule E.
  • Organize and verify supporting documentation for client returns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive tax and financial information.
  • Meet established deadlines and collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of returns.
  • Respond to client or internal inquiries regarding tax information as needed.

Requirements
  • Uses Lacerte, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, or similar tools effectively.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in screening and data entry.
  • Maintains integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations and company policies.
  • Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • At least one (1) year of tax preparation experience; Must have a stable employment history.
