Job Description

The Jollibee Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Buyer to support the Category Manager in developing and executing category sourcing strategies. This role involves aligning with the company's procurement policies and procedures, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, and optimizing the supply base.

This position requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and experience in managing supplier lifecycles. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the food value chain and be able to contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Category Management: Collaborate with the Category Manager to develop and execute category plans, identifying stakeholder requirements and ensuring alignment with company policies.
  2. Conduct Market Research: Analyze market data and apply insights to optimize the supply base, ensuring local sourcing practices conform to overall procurement policies.
  3. Manage Supplier Relationships: Manage the accreditation, onboarding, performance, and phase-out of suppliers, ensuring seamless execution of category plans.
  4. Participate in Process Improvements: Partner with internal stakeholders to establish process improvements, contributing to implementation and adherence on-site.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  2. At least 2 years of professional experience and demonstrated knowledge of the food value chain.
  3. Prior exposure to category management, procurement, or an engineering or operational environment is highly desirable.
  4. Demonstrated success in supporting a multi-disciplinary team in a project-led environment.
  5. Procurement and supply chain affiliations and/or certifications will be an advantage.
  6. Must be willing to work in a hybrid work setup.
