Our company is seeking a skilled Full Stack WordPress Developer to enhance and maintain our corporate and marketing websites, ensuring they remain modern, responsive, and aligned with our brand identity.

Job Description

We are looking for a technically skilled developer with strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and creative flair. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and adaptable, with a passion for innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Custom WordPress Development: Build custom WordPress themes and plugins to support new features and design requirements.
  • User Experience (UX) Design: Design user flows, wireframes, and mockups for new WordPress website features and enhancements.
  • Responsive Web Design: Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and user-centred design across platforms.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Implement SEO best practices to maximise site visibility and performance.
  • Server-Side Management: Understand WordPress architecture, PHP, and MySQL; manage hosting environments, deployments, and database optimisation; troubleshoot performance and security issues on the server side.
  • Integration and API Development: Integrate WordPress with third-party tools (e.g. CRM, analytics, lead generation platforms).
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot website performance, security, and technical issues.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document processes, workflows, and updates for internal knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working as an Independent Contractor.
  • Minimum 3 years' professional experience as a WordPress developer.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and customise WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Experience managing WordPress CMS environments, including hosting, security, and updates.
  • Proven track record of developing responsive, cross-browser compatible websites.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and website performance optimisation.
