Job Overview

As a junior DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust infrastructure and automating processes. You will also assist in developing and deploying web applications and APIs.

The ideal candidate will have good understanding of REST APIs and JSON, with demonstrated experience using tools like Postman.

They will also have fluency with Excel for importing, exporting, and manipulating data, as well as basic networking concepts (switches, access points, VLANs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Automation: Assist in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure using automation tools like Ansible.
  • Application Development: Collaborate with the development team to deploy and maintain web applications using PHP and Python.
  • API Development: Support the design, development, and maintenance of RESTful APIs for seamless integration.
  • System Monitoring and Logging: Assist in setting up and managing monitoring systems like the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders for smooth integration and deployment of software updates.
  • Security and Compliance: Assist in implementing security best practices, conducting security scans, and vulnerability assessments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Good understanding of programming languages like PHP and Python.
  • Experience with virtual machines and ESXi.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix, scripting, and containerization (Docker) with orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
