Job Opportunity: Credit Risk Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our credit assessment team, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of borrowers and assessing the risk associated with mortgage loan applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
  • Assess the risk associated with mortgage loan applications, including evaluating the borrower's financial stability, repayment capacity, and the quality and value of collateral.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of collateral, such as residential and commercial real estate, equipment, or other assets, to determine their value and marketability.
  • Analyze financial statements of businesses, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to assess their ability to generate sufficient cash flow to cover debt service.
  • Evaluate economic and industry-specific factors that may impact a borrower's ability to repay a loan, including market trends and competitive dynamics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role within the mortgage or finance industry.
  • Experience in using CRM software, such as MyCRM, Infynity, Mercury Nexus, Flex, Salestrekker, or other CRM software in the mortgage broking industry.
  • Proficient in using financial analysis tools and have a strong understanding of commercial loans.
  • Knowledgeable in using lenders' servicing calculators to assess clients' borrowing capacities and ensure loan submissions meet required policies and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey credit analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
