Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Financial Manager to join our team in Manila, Philippines. This key role will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and administrative expenses processing and accounting within the Trust Fund and Administrative Expense Division.

About the Role

  • Lead the implementation and supervision of work plans, ensuring the quality of output and achievement of long-term goals and annual objectives for the division.
  • Provide leadership in operational matters, contributing innovative approaches to developing accounting policies, procedures, and resolving operational issues.
  • Supervise and guide staff in maintaining sound accounting policies, systems, and records, ensuring accurate accounting of financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial reports for trust fund operations and ADB's Sustainability Report, improving financial reporting, sustainability reporting, and related accounting responsibilities.
  • Ensure a sound internal control framework over financial reporting, non-financial reporting, and transactions, safeguarding trust funds under the administration of ADB.
  • Manage budget and resource allocation for the division, ensuring efficient allocation and use of resources, including staffing and training requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics, with an internationally recognized professional certification, such as CPA, CA, or its equivalent.
  • At least 15 years of broad-based professional experience in accounting, finance, and internal control, with international experience working in several countries.
  • Knowledge of US general accounting standards and international financial reporting standards.
  • Sound management skills and leadership qualities in handling staff towards understanding their responsibilities and achieving the Division's objectives.
