Invoice Processing Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Invoice Processing Team within the Procure to Payment organization at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The successful candidate will maintain the organization, integrity, compliance, timeliness, and accuracy of supplier's data processing, including creation, changes, report generation, and other related requests. You will work closely with external and internal business partners to drive process improvements every day using Thermo Fisher's Accounts Payables system.
About the Role:
This position requires a strong leader who can provide training, administration, and oversight of business processes and contact management systems. You will also review and provide support with account reconciliations, lead customer concerns from internal or external clients, and provide support during disputes in complex and critical scenarios. Additionally, you will serve as a point of contact in internal and external audit processes, keeping controls of operating procedures and providing necessary information to auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure team operations comply with established procedures and objectives.
• Allocate workload to team members based on established objectives.
• Review and provide support with account reconciliations.
• Lead customer concerns from internal or external clients, ensuring the best possible solution.
• Provide support during disputes in complex and critical scenarios.
• Maintain involvement and communication with customers involved in the processes.
• Serve as a point of contact in internal and external audit processes, keeping controls of operating procedures and providing necessary information to auditors.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement of processes related to the department, suggesting new strategies or standard processes.
Requirements:
• University or College degree
• 6+ years of experience or relevant working experience
• Effective training skills and team building capabilities for rapid ramp-up of functional tasks within area of responsibility.
• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, conflict resolution skills.
• Experience leading continuous process improvement projects leading to significant time or bottom line savings.
• Prior experience of work transition/system implementation a plus.
• High attention to detail and accuracy as data entry is a critical component of role.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate staff.
