Tax Support Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support our tax department in preparing and filing accurate tax returns.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in filing taxes, and a desire to grow within the field of taxation and accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and filing individual and corporate tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Organize and maintain tax-related documents and records.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of financial statements and identify tax-saving opportunities.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify tax-related inquiries.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tax-related tasks.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in tax preparation or accounting is preferred.
  • Experience in tax filing.
  • Enrolled agent with the IRS is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., TurboTax, ProSeries) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • [Optional] CPA or Enrolled Agent certification, or working toward obtaining one, is a plus.
