Cloud Data Engineering Role

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Data Professional with expertise in Azure Data Platform to take on this challenge.

This role requires hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining complex data solutions using Azure services, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and performance.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end implementations, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive best practices in cloud data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on Azure Data Platform.
  • Collaborate with external service providers during solution implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, and Machine Learning.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability across all stages of the ETL lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
  • Apply data management principles, including lakehouse architecture and DAMA capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree in Data Science/Analytics is a plus.
  • 4-8 years of proven experience as Cloud Data Engineer or similar role with focus on Azure Data Platform.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services.
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from enterprise platforms such as SAP and Salesforce.
  • Relevant Azure certification: DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate) or AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and cloud-based ETL development.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with DAMA data management principles is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote, geographically dispersed team.
