Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Marine Crew Manager to oversee the management of our marine crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring manpower resources, improving efficiency, planning, and optimization in close coordination with our Admin/HR Department.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Reallocation of Marine Crew: The successful candidate will reallocate all marine crew after approval with all concerned line managers.
  • Liaising with Other Departments: They will liaise with other department heads for the recruitment of deck and engine officers.
  • Manning Level Monitoring: The candidate will monitor manning levels and forecast manning needs for all vessels.
  • Crew Lists Maintenance: They will maintain crew lists of current manning in respect of each vessel.
  • Crew Leaves Coordination: The candidate will coordinate crew leaves in relation to all concerned parties.
  • Timesheet Management: They will manage crew timesheets in coordination with all units and line managers and pass them on for administration processing.
  • CV Database Maintenance: The candidate will maintain a CV database and crew employment offers, regularly updating salary scales as per HR advice.
  • Hiring/Promotion Needs Identification: They will identify hiring/promotion needs, determining required qualifications and skills.
  • Seafarer Performance Evaluation: The candidate will consistently evaluate the performance of all seafarers to ensure requirements are met.
  • Documentation Maintenance: They will maintain updated records for all seafarers' documentations (passport, leaves, exit & entry, certificates).
  • Terminated/Resigned Crew Record Keeping: The candidate will maintain updated records of all terminated/resigned crew and perform exit interviews.
  • Polling Seagoing Personnel: They will pool suitable seagoing personnel and keep full records.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in any relative discipline is required.
  • Dredging/Marine Project Experience: The successful candidate should have experience in dredging/marine projects, especially in CSD.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Proactive sharing of knowledge and understanding with others, understanding tasks and responsibilities, achieving targets timely, being result-oriented, and aware of the result-oriented organizational culture.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: The candidate should support colleagues to achieve common goals, proactively serve and constructively respond to client needs, collaborate constructively and effectively with all colleagues throughout the organization, show respect, flexibility, and loyalty towards colleagues.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Able to communicate clearly, adequately solve problems or disputes, and involve supervisors timely if necessary.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in Dredge Centrifugal Pumps Control Systems & Instrumentation and knowledge in T.I.D. Soil Analysis, Cutter Suction dredgers, and Hydraulic Transport.
