Restaurant Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Restaurant Operations Manager to lead our front-of-house team and drive exceptional customer experiences. As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate staff to provide outstanding service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and support servers and other front-of-house staff. Foster a positive work environment, monitor attendance, and adherence to service protocols.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure prompt, courteous, and quality service to guests. Handle and resolve customer complaints efficiently. Support repeat business strategies.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Assist in meeting sales targets. Monitor upselling success rates. Encourage staff to promote high-margin menu items.
  • Inventory and Expense Management: Monitor inventory levels and minimize waste/spoilage. Assist in managing cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure smooth front-of-house operations, including table turnover and order accuracy. Drive efficiency through time management and team productivity.

  • Customer satisfaction ratings and repeat visits
  • Staff attendance and retention
  • Sales growth and average check size
  • Inventory accuracy and COGS
  • Operational metrics

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry, ideally in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of front-of-house restaurant operations and customer service
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-pressure environments
