Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to drive strategic decisions and optimize operations through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to forecast sales, profitability, and inventory needs for 1, 3, and 5-year periods.
  • Analyze internal data from Amazon API and QuickBooks, as well as external data on global economic trends, market conditions, and consumer behavior.
  • Identify and interpret key trends and patterns in sales, seasonality, and customer preferences.
  • Create and refine algorithms to optimize pricing strategies, inventory management, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain custom dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio to visualize predictive models and key metrics.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Aess potential risks to production and supply chain, such as fabric shortages, natural disasters, and other disruptions, and incorporate these factors into forecasting models.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in an e-commerce or Amazon-focused company.
    • Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models for forecasting and predictive analysis.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning tools such as Python, R, SQL, and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
    • Strong background in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
