Senior Content Editor Position

This role involves refining manuscripts for publications, maintaining clarity and coherence. The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in English or a related field and at least 10 years of experience as a Developmental Editor.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Edit content for books, magazines, blog posts, social media posts, marketing copy, and website copy to ensure quality.
  • Lead the conversion of book chapters into standalone white papers while preserving tone and purpose.
  • Convert white papers into optimized blog posts and generate social media posts for audience engagement.
  • Create impactful memes using excerpts and branded visuals.
  • Adapt blog posts into video scripts for effective storytelling.
  • Edit reports, proposals, presentations, website copy, emails, and autoresponder sequences to align with brand voice.
  • Write professional press releases for new launches and events.
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, designers, and content creators to ensure cohesive messaging.
Qualifications:
  • Maste's degree in English or a related field preferred (Doctorate highly desirable).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Developmental Editor, with additional skills in content editing, copy editing, and technical editing.
  • Proven ability to manage a wide range of content and apply SEO practices.
  • Excellent command of written English with attention to grammar, flow, and consistency.
  • Ability to translate complex content into reader-friendly formats across various media.
  • Proficient in tools like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional time and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams.
  • Creative thinking and editorial problem-solving abilities.
