About this Role

As an Intermediate Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting clients in achieving their goals and addressing queries with minimal direct contact.
  • Utilizing accounting software such as XERO, MYOB, Reckon, Banklink, Cashflow Manager, and Phoenix to extract reports and data, provide training to clients, and resolve their queries.
  • Preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements for various entities based on provided source data.
  • Remaining up-to-date with tax law changes and interpreting them for clients.
  • Maintaining client history, trust details, and completing basic to intermediate financial statements and tax returns across all entity types.

You will work closely with our team to deliver exceptional results and grow professionally within the accounting field.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or a relevant qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to quickly adapt to new software, with experience in Xero, MOYB, and/or QuickBooks being advantageous.
