Piping Designer

We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piping design and drafting, with the ability to interpret technical documents and develop material take-offs (MTOs).

  • Perform piping drafting/design tasks, including 3D routing of pipe and creation of Isometric drawings.
  • Read and interpret equipment drawings and technical data from third-party vendors.
  • Develop, quantify, and organize piping material take-off's (MTO's) for efficient project execution.
  • Familiarity with company CAD standards and client piping specifications is essential.
  • Maintain design compliance with respective client/company specification and codes.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary to ensure accurate check and back-checking of drawings produced by the drafting team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively within the engineering group and other disciplines to create multi-discipline design packages for construction projects.

This role requires strong technical, written, and verbal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. A thorough understanding of standard design and drafting practices, code and plant-specific standard knowledge/comprehension, and a strong process plant design background from conceptual design to plant layout and design of process and utility piping systems are all essential qualities for success in this position.
