Financial Analyst Role

Key Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a skilled financial analyst to build and enhance portfolio-level financial models that inform budgets and reforecasts.
  • The ideal candidate will produce project-level budget-to-actual variance analysis and communicate findings to operational teams.
  • You will highlight and investigate underperformance and optimization opportunities of operating assets, leading to actionable recommendations that drive improved results.
  • The selected candidate will prepare reporting packages and various deliverables to investors and lenders.
  • You will work closely with operational teams to ensure delivery of key alerts and protect portfolios from operational risk.
  • This position requires the ability to build data infrastructure that enables the team to isolate and investigate key performance drivers such as energy rates and energy production.

Skillset Required
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field or relevant coursework is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have a creative mindset with proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • The selected candidate should be able to communicate information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond their organization.
  • Experience working with large datasets, querying databases, and using ERP systems such as NetSuite is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
