Job Opening: Compliance Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee our compliance programs and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop, write, and maintain policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • SOC 2 and ISO 27001: Manage the implementation of SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 projects, as well as oversee technical controls in cloud environments.
  • Team Leadership: Direct daily operations of a small team, driving success through effective leadership and management.
  • Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and enhance security posture.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with various teams to integrate compliance and security best practices into their workflows.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay informed about new regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Compliance Platforms: Work within and feel comfortable operating compliance platforms like Drata, Vanta, and SecureFrame.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a small team.
  • Proven experience in managing compliance programs and familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in implementing technical controls in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Amenable to working US Eastern Time zone hours.

This is a contract position at Mid-Senior level within the Legal department, working in the Computer and Network Security industry.
