Critical Thinking Software Tester

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of software testing principles, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will have a solid theoretical knowledge of QA methodologies, test types, and test design techniques. They will be able to analyze requirements, identify business risks, and prioritize testing efforts based on risk and user impact.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing well-reasoned and business-aware test strategies, applying a risk-based approach to testing, and prioritizing test coverage logically and consistently.
You will also be working closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing test cases, contributing to improving test management processes, and identifying gaps and proposing solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment
- Strong theoretical knowledge of QA methodologies, test types, and test design techniques
- Ability to self-organize, think critically, and prioritize testing efforts based on risk and user impact
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, issue trackers, and test case management tools
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with test automation and scripting for API/UI testing
- Familiarity with performance testing tools
- Exposure to cloud environments and testing in distributed systems
- Experience with simulators/emulators is a plus
