Job Title

A Test Engineer is accountable to plan, design and develop manual and automation test tools, methodologies, script & execute end to end automation and manual test cases, track results, and log defects.

  • Create effective strategies for automated and manual testing.
  • Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
  • Implement repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, & incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
  • Plan the budget and labour needs of each sprint and product releases.
  • Work in a dedicated team and help drive product quality.
  • Ensure all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release.
  • Create and communicate test reports for stakeholders.
  • Liaise with business users, analysts, and engineers to resolve defects.
  • Maintain awareness of external environments and trends in testing.
  • Promote productivity through test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Coach and train other team members on manual and automated testing.
Required Skills
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of software testing experience.
  • At least 3 years of automation testing experience.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.
  • Experience working with external parties and vendors.
  • Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth.
  • Experience working with Selenium, Java, Maven, Postman, REST and SOAP webservices, API testing.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution.
  • Ability to work across multiple products/platforms/squads.
