Job Summary

The Security Engineer role focuses on safeguarding network environments and involves collaborating with the SOC team to accelerate learning and understanding of security principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to security alerts generated by technologies like SIEM, IDS, EDR or security reports sent directly to designated mailboxes within a specified SLA.
  • Perform thorough analysis and investigation as guided by established processes and playbooks.
  • Assist with incident response and post-incident review activities.
  • Support clients, IT and Information Security teams through effective communication and relationship building.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree holder.
  • Ability to work on shift rotation, including weekends and night shifts.
  • Strong passion for cybersecurity and interest in IT.
  • Understanding of various cybersecurity risks associated with different technologies.
  • Good knowledge of security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
