Building Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Building Technologies Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building automation systems, fault detection and diagnostics, and HVAC controls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality products to clients and partners, collaborating with teams to complete onboarding projects, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of Clockworks analytics.

The role involves troubleshooting diagnostics for automated fault detection on customer HVAC equipment, reviewing findings and validating results reported by the software, and training and engaging customers and partners on Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues.

To succeed in this position, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or 1-2 years of relevant industry experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly grasp new technologies are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and support high-quality fault detection and diagnostics products
• Collaborate with teams to complete onboarding projects
• Troubleshoot diagnostics for automated fault detection on customer HVAC equipment
• Review findings and validate results reported by the software
• Train and engage customers and partners on Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, or 1-2 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly grasp new technologies
• Familiarity with BAS protocols such as BACnet, OBIX, and Modbus
• Understanding of BAS networking principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement, and verification
• Familiarity with metadata applications such as Project Haystack
• Proficiency in MS Excel
