Business Intelligence Analyst Job Description

Our organization seeks a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join its Business Intelligence Team. The ideal candidate will specialize in data analysis and statistical modeling, utilizing data tools and programming languages to drive business decisions.

This pivotal role involves designing analytical frameworks, constructing data models, and collaborating with diverse teams to inform operational strategies, formulate recommendations, and enhance well-being initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business processes and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement or optimization using data analytics
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to develop actionable business insights and recommendations
  • Design and analyze experiments and statistical tests to uncover drivers of performance and label patterns
  • Build dashboards, reports, and automated monitoring systems in Looker Studio or similar BI tools
  • Collaborate with program managers to translate findings into operational and client-facing insights
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and R
  • Applied expertise in statistical modeling and experimental design
  • Experience working with moderate-to-large datasets, with the ability to scale analyses as data volume grows
  • Familiarity with BI/visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI
Preferred Skills:
  • SQL: Highly proficient in using SQL to query, manipulate, and manage data within relational databases
  • Statistical Knowledge: Solid understanding of statistical concepts (probability, regression analysis, hypothesis testing)

A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field is required, or equivalent practical experience. An advanced degree is a plus but not required.
