Role Overview

A key responsibility of this position is to conduct a thorough analysis of clients' content marketing strategies and provide recommendations for improvement or development of new strategies tailored to their Japan website. This role requires collaboration with corporate and regional marketing teams to ensure alignment with overall marketing goals. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and technical guidance on content creation, curation, and publishing, as well as writing, editing, and localizing high-quality Japanese-language copy for web pages, campaigns, and digital assets.

Content Management and Operations

  • Map content components to digital templates within the client's CMS (e.g., AEM or equivalent) ensuring seamless integration and optimal user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with design, UX, and development teams to optimize content structure for readability and engagement.
  • Support SEO optimization and accessibility compliance for Japanese content to enhance online visibility and reach.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, medical affairs, and regulatory teams to review and approve content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Coordinate with global content strategists to ensure alignment with client requirements and maintain consistency across regions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English languages is essential for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Experience with copy manuscripts (medical content) and component mapping in Japanese is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate should be open to flexible employment arrangements, including contract positions.
  • Immediate starters are preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule and Environment

This role will have regular working hours in the Japan timezone with occasional overlap with the US timezone for team meetings and collaborations.
