Software Development Analyst

This is a challenging position for an individual with experience in software development and analysis. The role involves working closely with project managers to define project scope and track progress. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in performing business analysis in software engineering or software testing. Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Mantis, or BugZilla is also required.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with project managers to define project scope and track progress.
  • Gather and document requirements for IT systems implementation, enhancements, and features.
  • Evaluate existing business solutions, identify requirements, and develop strategies to maximize opportunities.
  • Facilitate meetings to elicit requirements from business users and stakeholders.
  • Review documents from business users and stakeholders as inputs to requirements gathering activities.
  • Write business requirements documents for project development and testing phases.
  • Write business process documents for post-implementation process changes.
  • Create requirements traceability matrices to track and validate delivery of requirements and features.
  • Manage defects by prompt turnaround of defects from reporting to verification and closure.
  • Translate business requirements into test cases.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in performing business analysis in software engineering or software testing.
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Mantis, or BugZilla.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
