Medical Regulations Specialist

As a Compliance Assistant, you will provide critical support to the Compliance team in meeting their responsibilities and maintaining current laws, procedures, and guidelines for assigned states.
You will be responsible for drafting documents in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing and regulations, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Research information from internal resources and external websites to determine its applicability and update records.
- Summarize data on payor guidelines to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Respond to queries with accurate and concise information, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
- Review and update fee schedules as required, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage Excel spreadsheets and perform other duties as assigned, showcasing your ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration or business.
- At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, including provider credentialing, authorizations, and reimbursement.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word) and internet navigation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
