About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will develop on-the-job skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.

This role involves providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. You will receive training from current engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures, observe engineers while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs, and assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

  • You will work closely with management to ensure energy efficiency by verifying that all systems are operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

In this role, you will follow established procedures to perform repetitive tasks or job activities. Your impact will be significant as you develop skills to perform basic activities in your job.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program or technical school is required.
  • You must meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • The ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in your own job is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate is crucial.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is a plus.
  • Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset are desired.
