GHD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Distribution Design Engineer to join our Energy group. This role focuses on delivering high-quality projects for internal and external clients, with an emphasis on continuing development and professional recognition.

  • We are looking for someone who can lead the design of distribution systems, including overhead and underground infrastructure.
  • Key responsibilities include managing technical scope, preparing drawings and specifications, cost estimates, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • This individual will work closely with colleagues across service lines to drive best-for-project outcomes and lead technical delivery teams.
  • They must be able to plan, lead, and coordinate resources to ensure project technical and commercial outcomes meet client expectations.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for providing updates on project progress and guiding junior engineers in their roles.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required

A minimum of 8 years of experience in power distribution engineering design is necessary for this position. Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Poles n Wires, and LV Design Analysis is also crucial. Experience in consulting or utility environments is advantageous, especially in proposal preparation and mentoring juniors.
