We are seeking an experienced Cold Formed Steel Specialist to join our team at Architecks Metal Systems, Inc. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for designing and developing cold formed steel structures using STRAP software.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop cold formed steel structures using STRAP software.
  2. Create 2D and 3D geometry files in AutoCAD.
  3. Perform calculations for loads, deflection, and stresses.
  4. Recommend appropriate section properties based on material availability and tensile strength.
  5. Prepare reports, designs, and drawings for estimate basis.
  6. Provide technical advice and assistance to the sales department and project engineers during installation.
  7. Conduct site inspections to analyze actual behavior of installed cold formed framing systems.

Requirements:

  1. Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer with experience in structural design.
  2. Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD, and Microsoft Excel.
  3. Familiar with VERTEX software.
