Senior Software Development Manager for Cloud-Based Back-Office Systems

At Panoptik Global, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead the design and development of our cloud-based back-office systems.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale software development projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud-hosted development, deployment, and operations, as well as experience in managing and mentoring software engineering teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of our CBO subproject, which involves designing and implementing a back-office system that meets the needs of our MLFF scheme users. This includes ensuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions, serving a customer base of at least 1 million, processing over 1 million events per day, and complying with PCI-DSS and cybersecurity requirements.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design and development of our CBO subproject, ensuring it is user-centric and aligned with our MLFF scheme operational strategy and objectives.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of software developers, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring they have the necessary tools and training to deliver high-quality results.
  • Tracking progress against project schedules and ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
  • Defining and monitoring measurable implementation progress and quality indicators.
  • Ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS and cybersecurity requirements, as well as national financial regulations.

In addition, you will be expected to:

  • Developing event-driven systems based on microservices, including customer communication channels such as web portals and social media.
  • BUILDING SYSTEMS IN THE CLOUD, preferably AWS.
  • Attracting, hiring, and maintaining a team of talented software developers.
  • Communicating effectively across project boundaries, balancing multiple priorities, and coping with stress.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing, mentoring, and leading software engineering teams.
  • Experience in software release life cycle, including pre-alpha, alpha, and beta testing.
  • Proven successful track records in project managing the design & development of back-office systems (at least 2 large projects completed successfully).
Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
