Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at North Taal Steel Corp.

The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling safety programs, practicing safe working techniques, and implementing and maintaining health and safety standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile safety programs that align with industry best practices
  • Practice safe working techniques to minimize risk and prevent accidents
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards throughout the company
  • Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees to promote a culture of safety
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant safety regulations
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques and discuss safety concerns
  • Standardize health and safety procedures to ensure consistency across departments
  • Identify and dispose of hazardous waste correctly
  • Promote safety initiatives to encourage employee participation and engagement
  • Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management
  • Regularly inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working condition

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective health and safety programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
