Retail Sales Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team.

  • This is an entry level position.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and possess a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The role involves performing basic math functions to collect payments and make change. The associate must operate registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals accurately. Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales is also a key responsibility. Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer is essential. Handling exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner is also required. Maintaining accurate cash drawer and keeping the checkout area clean and orderly are critical tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree (on Business course or any 4 year course).
  • Has sufficient background in cashiering, preferably with POS experience.
  • Has the ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 1 year/s experience in a similar industry.
  • Average communication and people skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Willing to work in a retail environment.
