Test Automation Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our digital product development process, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test automation solutions.

Seniority Level: Mid-Level

About the Role

The successful candidate will apply their expertise in automation frameworks and best practices to develop high-quality test automation solutions. They will work independently within our established framework to tackle complex tasks.

In this role, you will lead testing strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment with project goals. You will also design, develop, and implement automated test cases, use debugging techniques to identify complex issue root causes, and accurately document bugs using our bug tracking system.

You will have the opportunity to utilize your intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming languages to write test scripts or understand code for test automation. Additionally, you will maintain high attention to detail to identify minor issues, analyze defect root causes, and make recommendations to prevent similar problems.

As a Test Automation Specialist, you will report issues effectively and collaborate with our development team. You will also participate in analyzing current testing processes and suggest improvements under supervision.

ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities (90%)
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies that align with project objectives.
  • Test Case Development: Design, create, and maintain automated test cases to ensure high-quality results.
  • Debugging: Utilize debugging techniques to troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes.
  • Bug Reporting: Accurately document bugs using our bug tracking system to facilitate prompt resolution.
  • Programming Languages: Leverage your knowledge of programming languages to write efficient test scripts or understand code for test automation.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain meticulous attention to detail to identify minor issues and prevent defects.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyze defects to determine root causes and propose recommendations for prevention.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicate issues and collaborate with the development team to drive resolution.
Additional Responsibilities (10%)
  • Documentation: Generate detailed test result reports and assist in maintaining our project knowledge base.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process analysis and suggest enhancements to improve our testing processes.
