Job Overview

  • To ensure the integrity of accounting information, you will record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions. Prepare asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain a general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
  • Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities and oversee team members during close processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize process efficiency.
  • Ensure deadlines and controls are met in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage proper deliverables for external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Lead internal audit engagements and complete external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts.
  • Avoid legal challenges by complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Secure financial information by completing database backups.
  • Protect the organization's financial assets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and more than seven years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Extensive experience in US non-profit accounting, including reporting and compliance (tax).
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS standards.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a Big 4 firm is beneficial.
  • Strong MS Excel skills are essential.
  • Ability to develop financial reports and metrics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with various management levels.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
