Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

About the Role:

This position entails overseeing critical financial operations across multiple interconnected business units.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Payable Process: Streamline accounts payable processes for both companies, ensuring efficient and timely payment to vendors.
  • Financial Record Management: Accurately process, verify, and record vendor invoices in QuickBooks, maintaining accurate digital financial records.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Coordinate intercompany transactions between mechanical and transport divisions, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Vendor Payment Tracking: Implement and maintain tracking systems for vendor payments, identifying and resolving payment discrepancies proactively.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Collaborate with the service writer to ensure proper documentation, generate regular accounts payable and vendor reports, and reconcile financial records to avoid payment delays.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and document improved financial workflows, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 Years of Bookkeeping Experience: Proven track record of managing North American clients' bookkeeping requirements.
  • Advanced QuickBooks Proficiency: Expertise in utilizing QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
  • Multiclient Accounting Experience: Experience managing accounting operations for multiple companies, ensuring seamless financial integration.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management and processing.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Proven ability to improve processes and document systems, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confidentiality: Experience handling sensitive financial data confidentially, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Independence and Collaboration: Comfortable working independently with clear communication, while also collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Experience managing vendor relationships, building strong partnerships and negotiating favorable terms.
