About the Job

This position plays a vital role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for folding carton packaging projects. It involves analyzing packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities to determine job scope and manufacturing requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of detailed cost estimates for folding carton packaging projects, utilizing historical data and supplier pricing.
  • Analyzing packaging specifications and customer requirements to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to determine job scope, manufacturing requirements, and cost-saving alternatives.
  • Maintenance of pricing databases and estimate sheets to support efficient project planning and execution.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects, preferably in a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes, including offset printing and color matching.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in formula creation, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities to optimize cost estimates and project outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

A background in packaging engineering or graphic production is advantageous, as is familiarity with structural design tools like ArtiosCAD.
