Job Description

The Accounting Expert assists in monthly financial reviews, updates bank feeds, records payroll transactions, communicates with clients, and performs periodic accounting clean-ups. This role involves delivering high-quality assurance reviews, building client relationships, managing accounts, and providing accurate and timely full-service accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing Bank Feeds: Categorize transactions from each bank or credit card account according to established procedures.
  • Bank Account Reconciliations: Assist with end-of-month reconciliation for assigned client accounts.
  • Credit Card Reconciliations: Reconcile client credit card activity.
  • Monthly Financial Review: Follow up with clients on unrecorded income/expenses; cross-check statements for accuracy.
  • Payroll Recording: Record payroll transactions using templates; prepare journal entries; upload to QuickBooks and/or Xero.
  • Accounting Cleanup: Assist with cleanup in areas such as revenue coding, payroll, balance sheet accounts.
Requirements
  • Background in Accounting or understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Good written communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented; able to learn new concepts with written and hands-on support.
  • Experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
