Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team as a US Tax Specialist. This role will involve working with existing clients to manage their sales tax nexus reviews, permit applications, and offboarding processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. They will be responsible for updating tax software, compiling nexus information, and communicating effectively with clients to ensure a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Existing Client Project Management: Manage changes to existing client accounts in areas such as annual nexus reviews, application for new permits, permit closure requests, offboarding, tax settings, and new sales channels.
  2. Support Existing Clients: Provide support to existing clients and their Sale Tax Accountants to help with any issues that come up in regard to tax collection settings, new platforms, new permits, permit closures, and offboarding.
  3. Annual Sales Tax Nexus Reviews: Analyze various economic and other presence factors to determine where existing clients have changes in their sales tax nexus obligations on an annual basis.
  4. Sales Tax Settings Setup and Testing: Update and test tax collection settings on sales platforms to ensure clients are collecting sales tax on their new permit start or end dates.
  5. Client Offboarding: Support clients who offboard from TaxValet including managing permit closure information, final billings, and paperwork.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience working with project management and detailed analysis and research.
  • Positive references from past supervisors.
  • Strong understanding of sales tax laws and regulations.
