We are seeking a highly motivated News and Public Relations Associate to join our team.

The role of the News and Public Relations Associate is multifaceted. You will be responsible for assisting in the company's journalistic and public relations efforts.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with other business journalists and PR associates, reporting directly to a team lead and CEO.

Responsibilities
  • Researching and writing engaging business stories that showcase our expertise.
  • Writing and scheduling regular newsletters that highlight industry trends and insights.
  • Developing weekly podcast features that captivate audiences and build brand awareness.
  • Pitching and writing newsworthy press releases that secure media coverage.
  • Managing public affairs and media efforts, including writing and placing op-eds and mobilizing editorial campaigns.
  • Creating eye-catching graphics and other visual content to enhance our online presence.
  • Managing our social media platforms to engage with our audience and build brand loyalty.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, journalism, or public relations.
  • Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content under deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in email marketing tools and social media management platforms.
  • Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with project management tools like ClickUp.
  • Basic web design skills using WordPress.
  • Copywriting skills to craft compelling headlines and taglines.
  • Knowledge of Facebook ads, Google Adwords, and Pinterest ads.
  • SEO expertise to optimize our online content for search engines.
  • Email deliverability optimization techniques.
Other Requirements
  • A reliable home workspace with fast internet connectivity.
  • Comfortable using time tracking software to monitor productivity.
