Job Role

The role of Assistant Bid Writer involves collaborating with the bid team in researching, drafting and submitting high-quality proposals to win contracts. This position requires working closely with internal departments while adhering to deadlines and ensuring compliance with client requirements.

This includes developing compelling content for bids by assisting in the drafting and editing of responses to Invitations to Tender.

Additionally, it entails collaborating with colleagues across departments to collect information for proposals and incorporating stakeholder feedback into bid documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring proposals comply with corporate branding and quality standards by proofreading all bid documents for grammatical accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
  • Conducting market and client research to shape tender responses effectively and maintaining a database of prior bids and responses for future use.
  • Tracking and reporting on bid progress against set timelines and supporting the maintenance of a bid calendar, ensuring alignment with submission deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools.
  • Experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.
