Senior Power Systems Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to provide expert power systems engineering services for buildings and infrastructure projects.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer with extensive experience in delivering power systems engineering services for infrastructure and building projects at a high level. As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in power systems design and analysis.

You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing power systems engineering services for buildings and infrastructure projects.
  • Identifying scope and schedule changes, maintaining planning, and cost control on all scopes.
  • Representing the team at external meetings.
  • Visiting overseas sites and factories for inspections and tests.
  • Preparing MV and HV equipment specifications and data sheets.
  • Selecting protection schemes for MV and HV networks.
  • Undertaking power systems network analysis and written reports.
  • Carrying out engineering calculations to meet industry and legal standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Electrical or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in delivering power systems engineering services for infrastructure and building projects at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to deliver small to large-scale projects while executing power engineering activities within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Strong problem-solving, technical realization, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Team-builder with training and mentoring abilities.
  • Computer literate including ETAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Technical knowledge of LV and MV generation using various prime movers.
  • Thorough understanding of power systems and network design.
  • Resilient control engineering relating to power systems.
  • Proficient at using IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
  • Good understanding of BS and IEC standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Knowledge of grid and networks operators' specifications and practices.
