Provider Enrollment Specialist

A key role in our organization, the Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining provider enrollment status across various payers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve provider payer enrollment issues in conjunction with the Provider Enrollment Manager.
  • Research, resolve, and enroll any payer issues utilizing proprietary and external tools.
  • Contract clients, operations personnel, and government agencies via phone, email, or website to ensure accurate and timely enrollment.
Essential Functions And Tasks:
  • Perform follow-up with market locations to research and resolve payer enrollment issues.
  • Manage the completion and submission of applications for Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers.
  • Track and follow up to ensure provider numbers are established and linked to the appropriate client group entity and software systems.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting regarding payer enrollments in process.
  • Establish close working relationships with Clients, Operations, and Revenue Cycle Management team members.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree (2 years) required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of provider enrollment experience is preferred.
Skills And Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of application requirements for CMS, State Medicaid, and all third-party payers.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and require minimal supervision.
